I'm super excited to get this project started! I've done a little research on line as to what facilities I want to check out. There's so much do! Here are the places I checked out...
The Rescue Mission

I went to the Rescue Mission of El Paso first. When I walked in I remembered my mom taking our girl scout troop there for a tour. We also volunteered there a few times. It was definitely a great reminder to be thankful for what we had. It's ashame it's been so long since I've been back. Unfortunately the guy in charge, Blake, was unavailable but I left my information and look forward to hearing back from him...

The Opportunity for the Homeless
http://www.homelessopportunitycenter.org
The Opportunity Center for the Homeless OCH is amazing! They have so many facilities that cover a wide range of services! They have an emergency unity, and men's and women's facility, a facility for the elder, you name it. I hope to get the opportunity to work with them. I spoke with Mayela who is the Housing Coordinator/Social Services person and really can't wait for her to speak with her co-workers about letting me work with their clients.
